FundingPips Review 2026: Rules, Profit Splits and the Payout Record

The strongest firm in this batch on every measure we could check. FundingPips reported just over $97 million in trader payouts for 2025 on the sector’s main tracker, second only to FundedNext. It survived being cut off by MetaQuotes in 2024 by obtaining its own direct MT5 licence rather than renting one, which is exactly the dependency that killed SurgeTrader. Trustpilot shows 4.5 from over 67,000 reviews with no guidelines flag.

Best for: Traders who want a well-documented two-step or one-step evaluation with a static maximum loss, and who can match their withdrawal schedule to how their profits actually arrive. Less suitable for anyone running third-party expert advisors, because the automation policy is the strictest we have seen.

FundingPips review: quick verdict

FundingPips is the strongest firm in this batch on every measure we could check. It reported just over $97 million in trader payouts for 2025 on the sector’s main third-party tracker, second only to FundedNext. It survived being cut off by MetaQuotes in 2024 by going out and obtaining its own direct MT5 licence rather than renting one, which is precisely the dependency that killed SurgeTrader. And its Trustpilot profile carries no guideline flag, which in this sector is less common than it should be.

The reservations are real but ordinary: we could not verify the legal entity behind it, its rulebook on automated trading is unusually strict, and the headline 100% profit split carries the tightest consistency gate of any of its schedules. Compare it against the rest on our prop firm reviews hub.

Who is behind it, and what we could not confirm

The chief executive is Khaled Ayesh and the homepage says the firm is made in Dubai. We could not corroborate the legal entity name, registration number or registered address, because the terms and conditions pages return an access error to anything but a normal browser session. Treat the Dubai origin as a company claim rather than something we have checked against a corporate register.

One development worth watching: Ayesh has separately launched a brokerage, Tradin. A prop firm whose founder also runs a broker is not automatically a problem, but it is a related-party relationship worth keeping an eye on, and it is the sort of thing that becomes relevant if execution quality is ever disputed.

Challenge models

Five, which is more than most: 2 Step Standard, 2 Step Flex, 2 Step Pro, 1 Step Flex, and FundingPips Zero, which is instant funding with no evaluation. Account sizes run $5,000 to $100,000, with Zero extending to $200,000. There is a separate futures arm. A $100,000 two-step was showing at $529 when we checked; we could not retrieve a full price list, so treat that as a single data point rather than a table.

2 Step Standard

8% profit target in phase one, 5% in phase two. Maximum loss 10%, and importantly it is static, described in the firm’s own documentation as a floor that never moves. Daily loss 5%, measured off the higher of your opening balance or opening equity. Minimum three trading days per phase. Forex leverage 1:100.

1 Step Flex

12% target, 3% daily loss, 12% maximum loss, again static, resetting at midnight platform time. No minimum trading days and no time limit.

FundingPips Zero

Instant funding at a 95% split, and the rules tighten accordingly. Daily loss 3%. Maximum loss 5% and this one trails your highest recorded equity, locking at the original balance once you are 5% up. You need seven profitable days in each 30-day period, each showing at least 0.25% net. Your single largest winning day must not exceed 15% of cumulative profit, which blocks a reward request without closing the account. No position may be opened, closed or held within ten minutes either side of high-impact news. And every position must be flat before Friday’s close, or the account terminates. Read that last one twice before you buy a Zero account.

The profit split is a function of how often you withdraw

This is the single most misunderstood thing about FundingPips, and it is worth getting straight before you compare it to anyone else. On the 2 Step Standard the split is 60% weekly, 80% bi-weekly, 90% on demand, and 100% monthly. The headline 100% is real, but it is the monthly cycle.

The consistency requirement tracks the same axis. On-demand and monthly both require a 35% consistency score, meaning no single day may account for more than 35% of your total profit. Weekly and bi-weekly carry no consistency requirement at all.

So you are trading patience against percentage, and the highest split carries the tightest gate. If your edge produces occasional large days rather than a smooth curve, the 100% cycle may be the one you can least easily use. Our lesson on trading discipline is relevant here, because the schedule you pick should follow your actual distribution of results rather than the biggest number on the pricing page.

News and weekend rules

On the four evaluation-based models there are no news restrictions during the evaluation itself. Once funded, profit from trades opened or closed within five minutes either side of restricted high-impact news is deducted in full, unless the position was opened five or more hours beforehand. On Zero accounts the window is ten minutes and holding through news is not permitted at all.

Weekend holding is allowed during evaluation. On funded accounts a restriction effective 29 January 2026 auto-closes open positions at Friday’s close; the firm is explicit that this is not a hard breach. On Zero accounts, a weekend hold terminates the account.

The EA policy is the strictest we have seen, and we think that is defensible

Third-party expert advisors are permitted only as a trade or risk manager. Running one as a full automation means account closure. You may fully automate your own EA, but only if you can prove you wrote it: source code, version-control history, development logs, or a live explanation of the logic. The firm states plainly that a compiled binary on its own is not proof.

Copying between accounts you own is allowed, and you may use a FundingPips account as an outbound master. Copying between accounts owned by different people is prohibited, as is inbound copying from external signal providers. Third-party account management triggers immediate termination. Gap trading, high-frequency trading, latency arbitrage, tick scalping, hedging, arbitrage variants and server-execution exploits are all forbidden.

That is a lot of restriction. But note what it is aimed at: coordinated multi-account gaming and bought-EA farming, which are the two things that make a prop firm’s risk book unmanageable and eventually make it stop paying everybody. A firm that polices this properly is more likely to be around in three years.

What happened in 2024, and why the fix matters

On 14 February 2024 MetaQuotes abruptly halted FundingPips’ services over its active US accounts, with no prior notice, and its broker partner BlackBull Markets was forced to terminate the relationship. This was part of the wider MetaQuotes crackdown that also hit Funded Engineer and True Forex Funds.

The firm migrated to Match-Trader, cTrader and TradeLocker during the outage, and restored MT5 in March 2025 after thirteen months, having obtained its own direct MetaQuotes licence rather than a white-label arrangement. That licence permits compliant operation outside the US and Canada.

We would rate this the most important single fact about the firm after the payout numbers. Renting your platform through someone else’s licence is exactly how SurgeTrader died. FundingPips took thirteen months of pain and came back owning the relationship.

Payout evidence

Third-party tracked: $97,088,576 for calendar 2025, second only to FundedNext’s $107.8 million, per Prop Firm Match’s tracker as reported in January 2026.

The necessary caveat, and it applies to every payout figure you will read anywhere in this industry: that tracker sources its data directly from the prop firms. It is aggregated self-reporting, not an audit, and the reporting outlet itself notes such claims are often questioned on accuracy. FTMO and The5ers do not participate at all, so it is not a league table of the whole sector.

The firm’s own claims track consistently upward alongside it: $110 million stated in March 2025, a $125 million milestone announcement, and $170 million-plus on the homepage today. Consistency between self-reported and third-party-reported figures over time is a mild positive signal. It is not proof, and we are not going to call it verified, because nobody has audited it.

Reputation

Trustpilot shows 4.5 out of 5 from 67,305 reviews, by far the largest volume of any firm in this batch, distributed 82% five-star and 8% one-star.

Our read is cautiously organic. The volume is enormous, the one-star tail is substantive and varied rather than uniform, covering unexplained terminations, sudden rule changes and occasional payout problems, and the three and four-star bands are populated rather than hollow. The caution is that 82% five-star is high, and the company replies to 98% of negative reviews within 24 hours, which is legitimate reputation management but does shape what you see.

The meaningful check is that Trustpilot has issued no guideline breach against this profile and has not suppressed the score. Given how many firms in this sector currently carry that banner, an unflagged profile at this volume is worth something.

What we could not establish

The legal entity, registration number and registered address; the current broker or liquidity partner; the full price list; and the restricted-country list, all because the terms and pricing pages were inaccessible to us. Historically the MT5 licence structure excludes US and Canadian clients from that platform. If any of these matter to your decision, ask the firm directly and get the answer in writing before you buy.

Verdict

The best-evidenced prop firm we have reviewed this round, with a documented recovery from the one failure mode that has killed its competitors. The rules are strict and the split structure needs reading carefully rather than skimming, but nothing about it looks designed to avoid paying people. Set it against the rest in our Best Prop Firms comparison, and read our risk management lessons before you buy any evaluation.

Risk Warning: Trading forex, CFDs, and prop firm products carries substantial risk. Losses can exceed expectations, so this content should be used for education, not as a guarantee of profit.

Prop-firm challenges involve upfront fees and evaluation or simulated accounts; rules, drawdown limits and payout terms vary by program and can change without notice. Nothing here is financial advice. Verify current rules and payout terms directly with the firm before purchasing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is FundingPips legit?

It is the best-evidenced prop firm in this batch. It reported just over $97 million in payouts for 2025 on the sector’s main third-party tracker, its Trustpilot profile carries no guidelines flag across more than 67,000 reviews, and its rule documentation is actively maintained. The honest caveat is that we could not verify its legal entity or registration number, because its terms pages were inaccessible to us.

How does the FundingPips profit split work?

The percentage depends on how often you withdraw, not on how much you make. On the 2 Step Standard it is 60 per cent weekly, 80 per cent bi-weekly, 90 per cent on demand and 100 per cent monthly. The two highest cycles also carry a 35 per cent consistency score, meaning no single day may account for more than 35 per cent of total profit. Weekly and bi-weekly carry no consistency requirement. You are trading patience against percentage.

Can I use an EA with FundingPips?

Only within strict limits. A third-party EA is permitted solely as a trade or risk manager; running one as full automation results in account closure. You may fully automate your own EA, but you must prove you wrote it, with source code, version history, development logs or a live explanation of the logic. The firm states plainly that a compiled binary on its own is not proof.

What happened with MetaQuotes in 2024?

On 14 February 2024 MetaQuotes abruptly halted the firm’s services over its active US accounts, with no notice, and its broker partner had to terminate the relationship. FundingPips migrated to other platforms and restored MT5 in March 2025 after thirteen months, having obtained its own direct MetaQuotes licence. That is a materially better outcome than renting one, and it is the same dependency that ended SurgeTrader.

Is the maximum drawdown trailing?

It depends on the model. The 2 Step Standard maximum loss is 10 per cent and static, described in the firm’s own documentation as a floor that never moves. The 1 Step Flex is 12 per cent and also static. FundingPips Zero is 5 per cent and does trail your highest recorded equity, locking at the original balance once you are 5 per cent up.
