What is a currency pair?
A price relationship between two currencies, such as EUR/USD. The first is the base currency; the second is the quote currency.
What is a pip?
The smallest standard price movement in a currency pair. For most pairs it is 0.0001, or the fourth decimal place.
When are the main trading sessions?
London and New York overlap (roughly 1pm to 5pm UTC) is the highest-volume period and most useful for beginners to study first.
