How pip value is calculated
A "pip" is the smallest standard price move — 0.0001 for most pairs, 0.01 for pairs quoted in Japanese yen.
Pip value = pip size × position size (units) × (quote → account rate)
For 1 standard lot (100,000 units) a one-pip move is worth 10 units of the pair's quote currency (1,000 for JPY pairs). We then convert that into your account currency. When the pair isn't quoted in your account currency and we can't derive the rate from your inputs, enter today's rate above.
